Okay, when you get down to it, what does it even take? We could just start pissing about from morning till night over all those silly little things that, until not long ago, used to make us laugh at other people. Things so stupid, so unbelievably stupid, that in the end they turn into these little Venus-like deserts that dissolve two milliseconds after you touch them. You wake up already twisted out of shape because, in the end, it's easier to see what you don't have than to notice what's right in front of your eyes — how gorgeous you look the moment you wake up, drool and all. Like that.
We could turn reason into a dictator and start waging wars like the ones we have today, with superballistic missiles that hit with unbelievable force and wipe everything out — the future above all, but memories too. The children.
And then you notice how reason, like every dictator in the end, launches the bombs and then runs off, or hides safely in some super-bunker stocked with ice-cold sparkling water and gorgeous naked people doing filthy things. Filthy things are so good — if everyone, once in a while, actually more often than that, did filthy things instead of wars, humanity would spend its whole life having sex from morning to night, instead of missiles and industrial overproduction at ridiculous temperatures, like 5 degrees Celsius hotter every year. I reckon cholesterol and triglyceride levels would drop too.
Instead, here's what I'd do: let's be partisans. Actually, no — let's be brigands. Exactly, brigands. A few years of proper brigandage, like. Full throttle, though.
