Work description

"E il mio maestro mi insegnò com'è difficile trovare l'alba dentro l'imbrunire."

Prospettiva Nevski, Franco Battiato.
Opera Poster. Just for you — from €200.

We could do it like this — even just to get through this bit of a standstill.
We could say maybe one evening you come round to mine, and we just sit and talk for a bit. Which, to me, sounds like such a small thing, really.
Two bottles of white wine, still, not fruity, obviously. Cold. Properly cold.
Though technically there's barely anything at my place yet — I've only just moved in.
There's only the bed, but I did get a duvet cover, at least.
But I think you already know that.
So we'd sit on the bed — but like I said, to talk.
Which doesn't just mean talking — it means really talking.
Actually, not quite on the bed — more like sitting on the floor beside it.
And I don't know if you talk much, or if you even like talking.
I don't think you like talking that much, but I think you really want to, deep down.
No candles, of course — but maybe a little spotlight, a covered lamp, just to make the place feel a bit more red. That low kind of red that would wrap around you like some kind of #universe cloud.
I'd just be looking at you, lost in that #universe, trying to find you. Drifting, searching for the things I really think are there, because I think you're exactly how I imagine you. And every so often you'd smile — the kind where your mouth, side-on, gets half-hidden by your #hair, which falls, and stays there only for a moment because you push it back with your hand, like you were scattering #stars.
And then, you'd give me a kiss that stretches all the way from Emilia to Africa.

How it is made
01
Typographic Design
The text is composed and balanced by hand, seeking the right rhythm between negative and positive space.
02
Letterpress printing
Letterpress inks on 390gsm Fedrigoni paper. Each pass is unique: the pressure leaves its mark on the back too.
03
Signature and Hallmarking
Each artwork is signed by the artist and embossed with the UCN dry seal.
It's worth knowing

We are not a print shop. We are an artisan workshop in Naples where each work is born from a discussion about the song, the artist's history, and the meaning of those words for those who have experienced them.

Every piece that leaves our workshop is unique. Not for marketing purposes, but by nature: typography is not a perfectly reproducible process. The mark remains.
